Objective and Function of the Professional Network FasiMiT


Objective:
Enhancement of the network for education and training intended to keep specialist staff focussing on micro and nanotechnologies in Thuringia.
Main Task of the Network:
Preservation and further development of an infrastructure supporting the competence development in micro and nanotechnologies across professions and disciplines.  The network's fields of competence include:
• assessment of demand in specialised staff;
• recruiting junior staff;
• first industrial technical training;
• academic studies;
• advanced training and further education;
• training modules, teaching and learning materials;
• marketing for micro and nanotechnologies.
The main target group are Thuringia-based companies that engage in manufacturing or employing systems and components involving micro and nanotechnologies.  Further target groups include career changers as well as schools, i.e. students, as potential future junior staff, or teachers, as "guides" and multipliers.  The participants in our network include companies, universities, service providers in the educational sector, research institutions, and associations.
